Cakes (After Wayne Thiebaud)

Created in collaboration with photographer Andria Lo, this series of images is an homage to the great painter, Wayne Thiebaud, in the form of paper cakes. Having admired Thiebaud for a long time, I was excited to stumble upon a newspaper clipping from 1962, where he wrote specifically about his goals and methodology. Inspired by this, we interpreted his approach in paper and tabletop photography.
